Biography
Christine Doyon
Pretty young, Christine realizes that it is possible to make laugh, move, and sometimes even change things from simple words thrown on paper. From then on, she gives up her math 436 and opts for scriptwriting. After university studies at UQÀM in arts and letters (scriptwriting, art history and literary creation), she completed in 2012 her training at L'inis in the cinema program profile writer where she signs L'éternité c'est long and La Trappe. In addition to enjoying a good life in festivals, these two shorts will confirm his two favorite styles, heavy topics approached from the angle of comedy and stories of suspense. Since then, she has been the author of the web series Michaëlle en Sacrament and the short film Chaloupe, two projects that have been illustrated both nationally and internationally and have earned her first writing awards. In 2014, Christine also works as a freelance writer in the video and advertising fields.
Sophie B Jacques
Sophie B Jacques works as director and photographer. Her training at L'inis in 2012 marks a turning point in her career: she quickly establishes herself as a director of the next generation, brilliantly combining her intuition for acting direction as well as her mastery of framing. Since then, she has accumulated short films (Private, Chaloupe, Sunday we'll see, La Trappe) as well as distinctions (Jury Prize of La Fabrique culturelle of Télé-Québec for Private, Finalist Jutra & Post Modern Award Take it short for Chaloupe ). She is currently writing her first feature, Pajama, which was recently supported by SODEC.
Samuel Pinel-Roy
A native of Rimouski, Samuel Pinel-Roy is a bachelor filmmaker at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Having just completed a Master's degree in Arts on the perception of time in the cinema, he directed as a final project What Fades, a short fiction film that is currently on the road to various festivals in Quebec and internationally. In 2012 and 2015, he won the Grand Prix Télé-Québec at the creation contest of the Festival du DocuMenteur in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Currently living in Chicoutimi, he has worked as a director and director of photography, as well as on various projects throughout Quebec.
