Biography

After training in post-production and cinema at the Sorbonne, Nils Caneele settled in Quebec in 2011. He directed the documentary Portraits Innus, selected at RVCQ and FCVQ. He also directed 5 fiction shorts, including three as part of Kino Kabaret. He continues to explore the documentary form through four Wapikoni Mobile stops and his experience with the films of Patricio Henriquez and Julien Fréchette. His latest documentary, Une autre, wins the La Fabrique culturelle and RIDM competition and the prize of the international critic at the Festival Regard 2017.
