Synopsis
Three women talk about the difficulty they have in recovering from their last breakup. Inès no longer believes in love; Camille awaits her ex’s return; Catherine has a hard time trusting again. Between experimental and documentary film, Marking the ends translates in sound and images the emotional and intimate experience of loss, casting doubt on the belief that all wounds heal over time.

Director's statement
Nine years after a difficult break up, I realized that this experience still had an effect on my life and my ability to engage in love. I wanted to understand why breakups can have such a lasting effect on people and why it is still one of the leading causes of suicide. I published a call for participations on social media to share these questions with other people. I felt the urge to make a film with three of the interviewees.
Biography
Mireille took her first steps as a film director with the short experimental documentary, Marking the ends. She also works in theatre as an author, actress and director. Her last play How to Save a Dear Friend: Formules pour sortir-au-jour was presented to sold-out audiences in the fall of 2025 at Espace GO.
