Director's statement

Wishing to continue creating despite the pandemic, Franie-Éléonore Bernier (director) and Maxime Valsan (director of photography) came together to develop this film that blends strangeness and poetry. This short film combines drama, absurdity, and fantasy. Born from a creative impulse, the project was inspired by various anxiety-inducing feelings brought on by the pandemic, while also exploring themes of isolation, mental illness, and femininity. The goal was to create a unique world—an immersive experience through image and sound—addressing psychological distress with a touch of whimsy, while remaining open to interpretation.
