Synopsis

FEMMES DES BOIS offers a foray into the singular world of forest encampments where, for work, women and men from here and elsewhere meet. It is through the eyes of women who have chosen to work there that we will discover these micro-societies that are formed over the sivicultural seasons.

Biography

Julie Lambert has been active in the film industry in the Québec City region for over 15 years. She has directed around fifteen short films in Québec and abroad. Funded by Telefilm Canada, her first feature-length documentary, A Hunting Film for Girls (Un film de chasse de filles), had a significant run both nationally and internationally. In 2017 and 2018, Julie co-directed the documentary series De par chez nous, broadcast on Unis.Tv. As co-president of the cooperative Spira, she has also been sharing her passion with the next generation since 2019 by teaching at Cégep Limoilou.
