Biography
Only 24 years old, Franie-Éléonore is part of Quebec's rising generation to watch. Curious and assertive, this young artist has a great ability to express herself through the arts. It is by the path of poetry that it draws its inspiration first, but it is primarily with the cinema that its singularity finds a powerful resonance.
With the aid of fiction, documentary and poetry, she creates universes that speak to the imagination and find a universal evocation. It is his way of living different realities through feelings that can affect everyone. She wants to create new images through reality and wants to open new windows to transform our perceptions, our eyes.
Franie-Eleonore has established cultural bridges with several countries by participating in intensive short film creation laboratories in Chile, Mexico and Belgium. His adventures overseas allowed him to open up on different artistic visions by confronting his eyes on the World and the Cinema.
The docu-fiction "Hermosas" about the reality of Mexican musicians (mariachis), takes a fresh look at solidarity among women. His lyric essay "Les petits miroirs" (presented at the FCVQ) deals with the passage from childhood to adulthood. His docu-fiction "La Bagatelle" (audience award, Festival du DocuMenteur) presents the touching portrait of an eccentric Spanish-Quebecois who is disturbing his community. Her latest project "Thirst" offers a unique view of relationships of domination in romantic relationships. It is in a poetic essay combining contemporary dance and symbolism that the work takes shape.
The young designer has always been desperate and fascinated by the innovation of artistic mediums. She practices on a daily basis to explore her artistic gesture to better refine it. In order to serve her community, she wants to reach out to people to reflect on themselves and society. For Franie-Eleonore to make cinema is above all to converse with the Other.
