Biography
Self-taught, Chloé Leriche has been writing, directing, editing and producing several short films since 2001. Her work is presented on television and in many international festivals. His film FRAGMENTS OR LETTER TO A GERMAN (WHOSE I AM LOVE IN SECRET) was awarded in 2004 at the festival VideoForme in France. Her short film LES GRANDS was presented at the Toronto International Festival and was selected in the TOP TEN, the selection of the ten best Canadian films of the year 2008. Since 2004 she has worked with many homeless youth in Montreal as a filmmaker trainer in the video studio Video Paradiso. She then joined the Wapikoni Mobile team to encourage First Nations youth to express themselves through documentary films. It is in this context that she begins the writing of BEFORE THE STREETS, a film that she realizes by involving the forces of the three Atikamekw communities of Quebec.
