Synopsis

An indigenous artist presents his work at a viewing in the city. Overcoming the feeling he is instrumentalized by the well-intentioned gallery owner, he sparks interest in potential buyers. He returns to his community, proud to have proven his talent.

Biography

Quebec City filmmaker Alexis Fortier Gauthier is the director of AFTER ALL (APRÈS TOUT), which won the Genie for Best Live Action Short Drama in 2008, as well as the award for Best Canadian Short Film and the Kodak Award for Best Cinematography in a Canadian Short at the 2007 CFC Worldwide Short Film Festival. He is the graduate of l’Université du Québec à Montréal, and l’Institut national de l’image et du son (INIS). In 2016, He codirect a low budget feature film named D’encre et de sang and two short films, Le vent dans face et Sans mot.
