Synopsis

Richard Lavoie was only a child when he first decided to make films. He was fascinated by his father's cinematograph, Herménégilde Lavoie being one of the first filmmaker from Quebec. Richard is now an independant director and his work, mostly direct cinema, explores the multiple facets of life through his very personal point of view, full of curiosity for his country and the people who makes it.Richard Lavoie was only a child when he first decided to make films. Fascinated by the cinematography of his father Herménégilde Lavoie, pioneer of Quebec cinema, Richard Lavoie found his vocation from childhood. A long-term filmmaker, independent filmmaker, his work explores the many facets of life through a look of an insatiable curiosity for the country, the people who inhabit it and art in all its forms
